How to get to the top of the list for getting stickers.
We currently have very limited supplies of stickers since the response has been so overwhelming. So below are some steps that you can take to further promote the film and bring you closer to the top of the list of who will get sent stickers next:
*One thing you can do is buy a DVD. People who have done that are at the top of the list to receive stickers.
*Go check your email right now and you should have a confirmation email. Confirming your email is the first thing that helps us verify you are you. There is just one button to click and then your done. But if you could also add “info@foureyedmonsters.com” to your address book, that would be really cool because when we email you, it won’t go to the spam folder.
*Request our film to have a screening in your local area. If you haven’t already, this makes a huge impact when we try to convince a theater we have enough demand to book a screening. It also helps us determine the cities that we should should focus our efforts in setting up screenings. As little as 50 requests can cause a screening, so tell your friends to tell their friends.
*Subscribe to our myspace blog. Again, this is another way for us to show how much support we have in a given city when we talk to theaters as well as be better in touch with everyone.
*Join the FOur Eyed Monsters Group on Face Book and invite as many of your friends to join as you can.
*Add Four Eyed Monsters as a friend on MySpace and if you want, put our film’s profile in your Top Friends section on Myspace. This is so huge, it could really help more people find out about our project and be an easy way to share the project with your close friends who then in turn will hopefully request our film in their area.
*Upload pictures of stickers. If you already recieved some stickers and are requesting more, then taking pictures of some places the stickers have been stuck can really help us show theaters that we have really solid supporters. This is also a really good way to stay at the top of the list and keep getting more stickers.
*Upload pictures of Shirts. this really helps other people be encouraged to buy shirts. And when that happens, we have a bigger chance of paying our rent without digging ourselves deeper into credit card debt which we are really trying to avoid. We are already over 50,000 in debt and won’t have a chance at climbing out until the film is released, so the more shirts we can sell right now, the better we’ll do in terms of being able to buy more stickers.
*Suggest a Theater that you think our film would be good to play in. Even if it’s an obvious theater, it helps us to see that several people have suggested the same theater, and the theater is always flattered to hear that they were the most suggested theater in a particular city.
*Send us a Publicity Lead! If there is a magazine or a website or a TV show you think should talk about our project. Let us know what it is. We only have so much time to research press and if several people say they think a publication would be good for us, then we’ll know we should really spend time trying to make that happen. Also try to include the headquarters of the publication because we’ll include them on the map we are creating too.
All of these things will be factored into our priority list of who should get stickers first, but we can take a look at peoples websites and profiles and if we see someone is really doing a ton to support the film, that will move someone to the top of the list.
