“particularly relevant for our technological generation”
The Great Betto sent us the following myspace message.
Hello..I happened upon your film “Four Eyed Monsters” on Youtube the other day. Who does not love the wonder that is Youtube. A cheap and effective way of fulfilling the masses dreams and desires to be viewed and loved by all. And yet amongst these sometimes amusing and more often desperate attempts to grab and enthrall the viewers attention, one finds something stunning. Something which provokes thoughts from the dusty recesses of our minds and inspires ideas other than those which have been forced upon us by popular culture. To praise your film “Four Eyed Monsters” adequately, would be beyond my stinted vocabulary. But I’ll give it a go…just for kicks… In your film you have portrayed something real, but to an exquisite excess. Isolation and the hope for redemption. Love and relationships and how utterly fickle the pangs of the heart can be. I found the internet and isolated communication particularly relevant for our technological generation. Portrayed in a beautiful manner, excelling in the use of all mediums, particularly the effective use of the drawings, I loved your film. And I have found a little place in my heart for Youtube, for exposing me to such a film. Thank you, from the deepest, darkest regions of my blackened little heart for creating a film that does not conform to the expected, and for creating a film which gyrates away from the typical hollywood formula so many films now a days adherently stick to.
Peace, love and good thoughts.
Beth
