How to Translate our Movie into your language
And here are the simple steps to getting it done:
1. Learn how to translate by watching the DotSub Translation Video Tutorial
2. Then Create a DotSub Account
3. Then go to Four Eyed Monsters on DotSub and select your language from the pull down and start translating to your language. If you find your language is already done, then it would be great if you can watch the whole thing and proof read the translation and then make any corrections that are needed.
Thats it! Thanks a super ton for helping with this!
Any questions just post a comment below.
And filmmakers, please, you have no reason to not make your films available in other languages. Post your anything you have online also to DotSub.com and and let your fans know your stuff is there so it can be translated and viewed and understood around the world. And keep an eye out for a future tutorial about how to then get the translated videos onto your DVD so you can sell an international region free DVD. We are still figuring that one out so if anyone has done it, get in touch.

I’ve done about 22% so far. I’ll later do some proofreading, which is a very important aspect.

Hey, I was checking the translation in Spanish… and its wierd, though it is indeed correctly translated, the guy or girl took the silent moments to add his or her views on life or whatever… so, I just wanted to let you know… cause its kindda distracting not having only what’s said on the movie…

It’s me again, I was correcting some of the translation lines in Spanish and I finally understood the problem… some lines are not properly synchronized. But I have no idea how to fix that. I guess it’s not that someone added strange sentences, but that some sentences are not where they are supposed to appear.

It’s me again.
I was 97% completed and when I finished it and tried to save it was reset to 7%!
What is this joke? Two days of work for nothing… Can’t you guys find it in the system somewhere?
Desperate right now.

Hey, I’ll be translating as much of the Spanish as I can tonight. Feel free to edit what you feel is too idiomatic, but remember not to make it too idiomatic yourself, haha
Also, I’m very unaccustomed to typing in Spanish, even though that’s all I speak in my home all day, so I might leave a few punctuation errors like missing upside-down question marks, exclamation marks and such. And definitely someone needs to spell-check my stuff for the accent marks.

hey, I’m translating to Spanish as well… and I got almost to 60% and suddenly it all dissapeared again, as it happened to Michiel Vaernewwijck. So I began once again and one half an hour later it all turned to a low percentage aaaagain…
it’s sooo frustrating!!
please, help.
thanks.

O.k .. well on dotsub.com it says that yopur movie3 has been translated in spanish only up to 22% .. I’ll try to translate it as much as I can, hoping to do it all .. I’ll let you now later how it went. And congratulations, not so much for the movie, as for the iniciative of really moving on and making a project like this work.

Finally 100% in the Spanish translation!
Finished…
I caught what was happening when it all dissapeared…
and it could happen at any moment again, so I hope it can be saved somehow so it won’t go to nothing.
Well, it was great reading and re-typing your script to my native language.
I have enjoyed in such a way the whole project you guys have created.
Thank you for giving to the world this wonderful creation, and for giving us the opportunity of being part of it.
Hope we can still hear from you and your new creations.
