• About •
We made a feature length film called Four Eyed Monsters. The film tells the true story of how susan and I met online and I stalked her at her work and then we ended up dating but with a rule to never speak in person. Then our lives and minds begin to meld and our fantasies and fears manifest as we become a living breathing Four Eyed Monster.
We premiered the film at Slamdance and then took it to dozens of film festivals and picked up awards including the Sundance Channel Audience award from the unidscovered gems showcase and 2 Spirit award nominations.
We also created a heart map that collects information about where people are that want to see our film and this has been used for over 40 screenings of our film world wide and every city with over 100 requests has had a screening. Anyone is welcome to set up a screening of the film.
The film was also the first feature length movie to be uploaded to YouTube in it’s entirety. The blogosphere erupted when that happened since most of the time people are trying to get their movies off of youtube. Through this opportunity though we raised over 50,000 dollars through sponsorships and advertising along side the films YouTube & MySpace release.
We’ve also self distributed the film on DVD and it can currently be ordered anywhere in the world. However, there is now a new version of the DVD coming out that will be released in stores which is a multi-disc set. It also contains episodes 1 to 13 which we created as an extension to the story. The episodes collectively are longer the film it’s self and delve deeper into what is brought up in the last moments of the feature film.

[…] A year after their unique courtship began Four Eyed Monsters started to take hold. Art often imitating life, the premise mirrored the filmmaker’s experiences while becoming a couple. They are self-distributing their film to the audience they built with their video podcasts. Demain soir, 20h00. […]

[…] For those interested in web video, social networking and indie film, Four Eyed Monsters is getting a lot of buzz. Here’s the the trailer, which will show that significant bits were shot with low-grade equipment. Here’s the NYT review. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but it seems worth seeing. […] […]

[…] I’ve been very interested in, for the past month or so, a new podcast that I found in iTunes. It’s a podcast made by independend film makers Arin and Susan. Their podcast tracks the trials and tribulations of their most recent project, a movie titled “Four Eyed Monsters”. Being an independent film and all, it’s hard to get it recognised by the public and media. It’s also hard to get bookings from places that actually want to play your film. Arin and Susan have promised that if your area gets more than 150 requests to play their movie, they will get it showing in your city at some local venue. […]

[…] Talking of good films, as some of you know i am a youtube addict, although my account asn’t been very active lately, but while surfingidling one day, i came across a low-budget film called Four Eyed Monsters. Well, i’m sure to the amazing directors it was low budget but when compared to that of feature films, low-budget can only describe it. It shows how the directors of the film came together and fell into a relationship. The film is not only funny, but hard hitting and heartwarming, heres the link : http://www.foureyedmonsters.com/feature_film/ […]
