“Beginning” by Golden Pastime
- Featured in Episode 1 -
Arin: I met Andrew when I was seventeen years old. He had a recording studio within walking distance from the High School, so I would cut class to go over and work on the 4-song album of a band I was in called Metagalaxxy. Andrew blew me away with his engineering abilities and started teaching me all kinds of stuff about audio recording, and even a bit about music theory. In New York, we collaborated on the writing, shooting, and music of a couple short films. And when Susan and I started Four Eyed Monsters, he helped us out big time developing the project. Episode 1 shows a little bit about that, so it seemed to make sense to have Andrew’s music in the episode. Not to mention, we were scrambling for music for the first episode and Andrew is the only person that can make amazing music in just a few hours, so we asked him to create a song. He iChatted us the file with the disclaimer that he may have gone overboard and thought we wouldn’t like it, and we put it in the FCP and watched the episode, and loved the way it worked. He hadn’t even seen the edit, but somehow, the length of the song and musical changes came out just right with the edit. Andrew decided to loosley name the song after the episode and call it “Beginning,” and add it to his solo project called “Golden Pastime,” which has an album due out sometime next year. Golden Pastime also provided several songs that are in our Feature Film called “Four Eyed Monsters,” which is still in the process of securing distribution. You can hear some of the songs in the Film, as well as a few more recent Golden Pastime tracks on his MySpace profile.
HOW COME THERE ARE ONLY TWO REPLIES TO ANDREW’S MUSIC?? THERE HAS TO BE ALOT MORE THAN THESE PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS MUSIC IS WORTH LISTENING TO AGAIN….. BESIDES,….. I DO.
