Beck and Gingerbread Patriots talked about in the same blog entry

A great post about the convergence of short film and music was posted on The JSF Blog. He talked about Becks use of short film with his new album as well as Gingerbread Patriots experience of finding new fans thanks to their musical contribution toepisode 5 of our video podcast. Awesome!

After talking about Becks new album “The Information” having a video for each song, the JSF Blog talked about our use of music in the video podcast, “It seemed like a reversal: filmmakers talking about finding cool, independent music to score their films; i.e. music making their images complete instead of the other way around.”

Then the blog goes onto give a quote from Gingerbread Patriots about their thoughts about their involvement with Episode 5.

“we did gain a lot of exposure from the collaboration. i guess in this age of ongoing a/v stimuli i.e. video ipods, you tube,… there are a lot of people that have difficulty sitting through an unfamiliar song in its entirety unless it’s paired with visuals to hold their attention through the unfamiliar audio territory. we had people writing us in swarms about how they loved the track after only one viewing of the video but normally it takes quite a few listens to get the same response from our myspace player or our cd.”

Also I should not that Gingerbread Patriots is working on a new album which I can’t wait to check out.

Four Eyed Monsters was talked about on The JSF Blog about our use of Music
